June 2010 - The Kiel IV and Thermo 253 IRMS are online and operational. This system will be used exclusively for the high precision measurement of C and O from carbonate samples
February 2010 - Effort continues to bring various analyses online within the SIGF. Currently the facility is capable of making measurements for C and N analysis via EA-IRMS, C and O analysis of carbonate samples via Gasbench, O analysis of water via Gasbench, H analysis of water via TC/EA-IRMS, and C analysis from DIC using the Gasbench. |

2009 News
December 2009 - Art Kasson has taken over the day-to-day management of SIGF. Art has previous experience managing the Cornell Isotope Laboratory.
August 2009 - Brendan Roark (Geography) is the director of the newly established Stable Isotope Geosciences Facility. He joins Ethan Grossman (Geology and Geophysics) and Niall Slowey (Oceanography) as part of the executive committee overseeing the facility. |
