About SIGF

Howdy and Welcome to Aggieland!

Home to the Texas A&M University and the Fightin' Texas Aggies!

Water TowerTexas A&M University started with humble beginnings in 1876 as Texas' first public institution of higher learning and is now a bustling 5000 acre campus with a nationally recognized faculty and a student population of 47,000. Texas A&M lives and thrives by the following core values: Excellence, Integrity, Leadership, Loyalty, Respect, and Selfless service. Taking a page right out of their book, the Stable Isotope Geosciences Facility was established to promote these values but to also go a step further. As a newly established service facility located on the main campus in College Station, TX, SIGF was designed to provide accessible, reliable and high quality stable isotope measurements and trReveilleaining for faculty, staff and students within the College of Geosciences and the TAMU community. It was also created as a facility where state-of-the-art methodologies and technological developments could be implemented as they relate to stable isotopic measurements. Besides the TAMU community, the facility has already established research links with scientists and students at other universities and within industry who require these precise measurements. The goal is to establish SIGF as a facility that is recognized for its quality work and research and one which operates on the core values of Texas A&M University. To accomplish this is truly in the Aggie Tradition.
